Vedauwoo Afternoon

It’s pronounced: “Veda-voo”.

About an hour outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming, lies the Medicine Bow National Forest. Vedauwoo is an area of rocky granite outcropping which is about 1.3 million years old. It’s been there a long time and the name “Vedauwoo” is a version of the Arapaho word “bito’o’wu” meaning “earth-born”.
