It’s pronounced: “Veda-voo”.

About an hour outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming, lies the Medicine Bow National Forest. Vedauwoo is an area of rocky granite outcropping which is about 1.3 million years old. It’s been there a long time and the name “Vedauwoo” is a version of the Arapaho word “bito’o’wu” meaning “earth-born”. (wikipedia)

So I adopted this title for my collection of images created at this astonishing site. There is so much to this formation and it is so massive in scale that it’s hard to wrap your mind around it upon first visit.
